PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of minimally suppressing the effect on viewing by simply and quickly transmitting information with respect to a viewed program during viewing of the TV program. SOLUTION: A CPU starts a TV part to receive a TV broadcast program and allows a display section to display a television video image. Further, the CPU extracts EPG data from the received TV broadcast program and stores the EPG data to a RAM 90 as received EPG data 92b. Moreover, the CPU acquires a program ID from a received television data 92a and stores the program ID to the RAM 90 as a viewed program ID 96. When a user selects "new mail" displayed on a menu screen, program information with the same program ID as the view program ID 96 is acquired from the received EPG data 92b and the acquired program information is stored in a main text 306 of the new mail 94.
