PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and simple gas sensor. SOLUTION: The gas sensor is a thermocouple pattern including a heat-resistant flexible support having first and second surfaces, a first conductor pattern made of first metal, and a second conductor pattern made of second metal differing from the first one. The gas sensor ranges via a connection section at which one edge of the first conductor pattern is connected to one edge of the second conductor pattern, and has the thermocouple pattern provided on the first surface and a thin film that is provided flatly on the second surface and has catalytic action to the oxidation reaction of gas. In the gas sensor, the connection section is included in a region on the first surface opposing the formation region of the thin film via the support, and the thermocouple pattern is extended to the outside beyond a region on the first opposite surface.
