PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fitting spectacle lens and a member for fitting spectacle lens which can fix a lens tightly from both the top and reverse surfaces and are applicable to spectacle lenses having various thicknesses. SOLUTION: The lens fitting member is formed which has a lens grip part having a gap variable with the thickness of a spectacle lens fitted by a 1st grip part 3 extending from one end of a wraparound endpiece 1 and both ends of a bridge 9, a long-arm part 4 extending from a base end of the 1st grip arm 3, and a 2nd grip arm 5 mounted movably on the long-arm part 4, and the lens grip part corresponding to the thickness of the spectacle lens is formed in a process of fitting the spectacle lens.
