PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charcoal producer which carbonizes waste materials made of carbonizable organic materials, pruned branches, dropped leaves, waste paper, etc. and enables self-combustion of a combustion gas by utilizing an unburnt gas generated during smoldering. SOLUTION: The charcoal producer has a double-structured furnace 1 with an exchangeable, capsule-type inner furnace 2. The unburnt gas derived from the inner furnace 2 is introduced into a combustion chamber 10 to perform continuous heating for self-combustion of the unburnt gas only. The exchangeable inner furnace 2 can be removed from the charcoal producer and cooled outside, which enables the charcoal producer to move on to the next charcoal production cycle without waiting for the inner furnace 2 to be cooled. The furnace performs complete combustion and therefore emits no smoke or ash, so it can be installed anywhere. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
