There are provided an imaging device, an imaging method, and a program capable of improving image quality. The method includes: a step of controlling a light source so as to apply an irradiation light having a higher luminance than that of the atmosphere coming to the biological body; a step of adjusting an imaging sensitivity of a solid-state imaging element for photo-electrically converting the pattern scattering light obtained via the inner portion of the biological body; a step of masking the luminance-deteriorated area in the pattern image obtained from the solid-state imaging element; and a step of generating the image masked as a synthesis object image with a reference image.
