An inner pipe (2) fits onto the end pipe (4) of the exhaust and supports a panel pipe (3) which surrounds the inner pipe and when installed is mounted horizontal. The exhaust-conveying pipe wall of the inner pipe has in the upper protruding circumferential region (2.2) a deflection wall (2.1) which diverts the exhaust flow down and back. The deflection wall can be formed by the pipe wall of the inner pipe itself. The outlet opening of the inner pipe is defined by the end of a nozzle-like tapering of the inner pipe.
