<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of almost uniformly illuminating a mounting face with emission light from a substrate etc. even if the substrate provided with a plurality of light sources on one face etc. is arranged to be inclined to the mounting face on which an object to be illuminated is mounted, and to provide a sorting system provided with the lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: In this lighting system, a plurality of light sources 74 are arranged more on an upper end part 71 side than on a lower end part 72 of the substrate 7. Power is supplied to the light sources 74 on the upper end part 71 side of the substrate 7 more than to the light source 74 on the lower end part 72 of the substrate 7. This lighting system is provided with a light guide plate which is provided with a plurality of reflective means more on one side than on the other side.
