<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method of a carbon nanotube (CNT) emitter. <P>SOLUTION: This is the forming method of the CNT emitter including a stage in which a CNT complex of a prescribed form is formed on the substrate, a stage in which a surface treatment material of a liquid phase containing an organic material binder and an inorganic material is coated on the CNT complex and dried, and a stage in which the dried surface treatment material is exfoliated. The surface treatment material of the liquid phase is coated on the CNT complex used as an electric field discharge source, and by exfoliating this, the CNT emitter in which numerous CNTs are protruded perpendicularly is obtained, and by this, the electric field emission can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
