<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mains line to be prevented from being twisted during assembling without the use of components such as a connector or the like in a lighting fixture which is placed on the floor for use. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting fixture 1 comprises: a base 2 which is placed on the floor to cause the fixture to stand; a lamp fitting 3 having a lamp 31 as a light source; an intermediate 4 for enabling the lamp fitting 3 to be separated from and connected to the base 2; and mains 5 which are routed from the base 2 and connected to the lamp fitting 3 via the inside of the intermediate 4. At least a portion of portions of the intermediate 4 which allow the separation and connection of the intermediate 4 from and to the lamp fitting 3 fits to one another to be able turn free, while other portion is screwed and fixed. The lighting fixture 1 is assembled by screwing the intermediate 4 into the base 2 while having the intermediate 4 and the lamp fitting 3 go into a freewheeling condition.
