<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport bogie device which is easy to change the layout of traveling rails and is adaptive to the weight change of a transport article and steep slope traveling. <P>SOLUTION: The transport bogie device includes the traveling rails 12 laid along a prescribed traveling passage; a transport bogie 14 that moves along the traveling rails; and at least one traction bogie 20 that hauls the transport bogie along the traveling rails. The traction bogie and the transport bogie have coupling arms 17 that can couple the bogies to other bogies located fore and aft at a prescribed coupling pitch. The traction bogie has a linear motor primary coil that generates a magnetic field by receiving power feed, and the traveling rails comprise a linear motor secondary conductor having the N-pole and the S-pole of a permanent magnet arranged at a prescribed magnetic pole pitch.
