<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire failure sensing device capable of judging a failure in a tire at an early stage. <P>SOLUTION: The tire failure sensing device 10 is equipped with a range sensor 30 to measure the distance from the tread side of a vehicle tire 20 in its air chamber to the rim side of a wheel, a phase deciding means to decide the phase to express the position of the range sensor 30 in the tire rotating direction, and a failure judging means to judge whether the tire 20 is normal or failed on the basis of the measurement of the distance given by the range sensor 30 in the predetermined phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
