<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot cleaner which accurately senses the situation when a normal running is not performed, and can properly take a remedy, and a operating method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The robot cleaner is equipped with a suction unit (a fan motor 2 and a suction head 6) which is provided on a cleaner body 1 and sucks in foreign matters, or the like, on the bottom surface, a driving unit (a driving wheel 8 and a driving motor 51) which makes the cleaner body 1 travel, and a wheel (an auxiliary wheel 9) which is provided on the bottom section of the cleaner body 1 and idly rotates under a state being in contact with the bottom surface by the moving of the cleaner body 1. The robot cleaner is also equipped with a sensing unit 10 which senses whether or not the wheel is rotating, and a control unit 11 which controls the driving unit when receiving the transmission of a signal of the sensing unit 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
