PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a server device recognize whether an application realized by a communication terminal for communicating with the server device is one realized by executing an application program downloaded from the server device. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 400 stores the URL of an ADF 105B and an application name described in the ADF 105B by associating them with each other when acquiring the ADF 105B from a server device 100. When a communication destination is the server device 100, the portable telephone set 400 describes "Home" in a "User-Agent" field when communicating with the server device. When the "Home" is described in the "User-Agent" field, the server device 100 decides that the portable telephone set 400 communicates with the server device by using a program downloaded from the server device.
