PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which reduces the number of signal conductors of a cable for connecting a main body with a mobile unit and can regulate a dot formation position, and a computer program, a printing system and a printing method. SOLUTION: In this printing method, a main body having a control part and the mobile unit which can move relatively to the main body, are connected through the cable in such a manner that both main body and mobile unit can communicate with each other. In addition, change information for changing the timing of discharging ink from a plurality of ink discharge parts possessed by the mobile unit, is provided at each ink discharge part. The mobile unit generates a new timing signal for discharging the ink for every ink discharge part, based on a reference timing signal and the change information supplied through the cable, and the ink is discharged from a plurality of the ink discharge parts based on the new timing signal generated for every ink discharge part.
