A system for calculating analytics uses a relational database to store inputs, calculates results, and stores them in cache. The system includes a method to retain versions of input data so calculations can be performed on any version and compared if desired. The system also includes an access layer that provides a unified view of the data in the server. A dynamic access layer is generated whenever the underlying schema is changed to provide a flexible framework for creating business logic and applications.
