The invention relates to novel alkyhalogensilylaminoboranes, especially alkyl chlorosilylaminoboranes which enable polyborosilazane compounds to be adjusted by varying the number of reactive centres. The invention also relates to novel borosilazane compounds, novel oligo or polyborosilazane compounds which exhibit the structural feature R<1>-Si-NH-B-R<2>, wherein R<1>or R<2 >or both represent a hydrocarbon radical comprising 1 - 20 C atoms, especially alkyl, phenyl or vinyl groups, silicoboroncarbonitride ceramic powder, ceramic material based on SiC, SiN and BN, in addition to a method for the production thereof, and the use of polyborosilazane and the ceramic materials.
