Applications, methods and systems are defined that provide for network resources, such as Internet websites or other networked sites, to be partitioned into multiple logically separable and typically independent information objects, referred to as derived content. The derived content will be defined by various attribute identifiers. The invention provides for storage and access of the derived content based on the attribute identifiers. In addition, the invention provides the ability to identify and extract changed versions of the derived content when the original network resource is altered.
