<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a program for compensating printing defect such as defective streaks in an electrostatically formed image. <P>SOLUTION: Printing uniformity is analyzed, and it is judged whether or not the analyzed printing uniformity satisfies desired image quality specification. a compensation parameter for reducing the printing non-uniformity and removing the printing non-uniformity is judged. And also, on the other hand, a printing demand is inputted. And the image data on the outputted image is corrected by changing gray level as a function of a specified pixel train to which a prescribed pixel corresponds by using the compensation parameter. Next, the outputted image is formed on a receiving medium by the image forming apparatus by using the image data, and also, it is judged whether the printing uniformity should be checked or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
