<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a theft preventive system capable of enhancing security against a vehicle theft by certainly hindering an engine from being started by an undue person and conducting operation for theft prevention simply. <P>SOLUTION: The theft preventive system is equipped with an engine control part 4 to start the engine 2 in response to the on-operation of an engine key 5 only in a state that an engine start admission signal is fed, a portable communication apparatus 7 imparted with information about a peculiar ID used in short-range wireless communication, and an ID information memory 6a to register the peculiar ID information given to a portable apparatus 7, whereby the ID information is acquired through the short-range wireless communication from the portable apparatus 7 irrespective of whether the engine key 5 is put on or not, and if the acquired ID information is not identical to the ID information registered in the ID information memory 6a, a in-vehicle communication apparatus 6 restrains the supply of the engine start admission signal to the engine control part 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
