REMOTE COPY CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the definition and control of the transmission path of a remote DKC command in order to reduce any user's labor required for the description or rewriting of a host command or scripts. SOLUTION: This remote copy control method for executing the remote copy of a volume formed in a storage controller comprises: a step of retrieving route information including the identifier of a storage device DT from a route list including route information registered with information to discriminate the identifier of the storage device DI for relay being the transmission route of a command corresponding to the storage device DT from the identifier of a storage device DP connected to a host computer among the storage devices DI, and of searching the identifier of the storage device DP represented by the route information; and a step of issuing the remote copy command of a volume VT where the identifier of the storage device DI and the identifier of the storage device DT are included in the input information to the storage device DP corresponding to the searched identifier.
