ELASTIC FIBER-PROCESSING AGENT FOR GIVING EXCELLENT REELABILITY AND ELASTIC FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing agent capable of being used as an elastic fiber-processing agent for giving excellent smoothness and reelability to an elastic fiber. SOLUTION: This elastic fiber-processing agent contains a higher fatty acid metal salt in an amount of 0.01-10 wt% and has viscosity of 3-30 mm2/s at 30°C, wherein the metal salt comprises particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01-5μm and contains 50% or more of the particles having a needle-like shape of which a ratio of a longitudinal length to a transverse length is in a range of 10:1 to 2:1. The elastic fiber is given by applying the processing agent in an amount of 0.1-15 wt% thereto. Thus, the smoothness and the reelability of the elastic fiber are improved by using the higher fatty acid metal soap having the specific shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
