PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Pb-free Al-Sn, Al-Sn and Al-Sn-Si based thermal spraying sliding materials. SOLUTION: The aluminum-based thermal spraying sliding material has the composition consisting of (a) 5-20% Sn, (b) 5-20% Sn and 1-15% Si, or (c) 8-17% Si, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, with non-dissolved structure and dissolved structure mixed therein. The non-dissolved structure of Al-Sn is an atomized structure with Sn flake-like or crescent shape, and in the non-solved structure of Al-Si, Si is a substantially circular grain or an uneven grain. The dissolved structure is the structure melted in the thermal spraying step. The sliding performance is enhanced by the mixture of these structures. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
