PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kerosene composition having a fire-extinguishing time and a calorific value equal to those of a general kerosene, also having extremely reduced smell of the kerosene itself, hardly providing unpleasant oil smell when treating the kerosene, also hardly providing smell at ignition and extinguishment, having good flammability, providing clean waste gas at combustion, having excellent preservation stability, reducing extinguishing time and having excellent heating properties. SOLUTION: The kerosene composition in which the content of a component comprising an n-paraffin and an iso-paraffin is≥99 wt.% has properties shown by the following expressions (A), (B) and (C): (A): 6.0°C≤FBP (final boiling point)-95% distilled point≤11.0°C; (B): 240°C≤FBP≤270°C; and (C): 150°C≤IBP (initial boiling point)≤165°C.
