APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM FOR EDITING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select images to be inserted in image insertion areas in a template when a photo album on an event such as wedding is generated.

SOLUTION: A professional photographer photographs the bride and groom at a wedding, and obtains images. An editing screen 30 for carrying out photographing operations such as selection of an image inserted into the album includes a catalog display field 31 having image data sets representing the images and a template display field 33 displaying a template. Image data are classified into scenes of events, and correspondence relation information denoting a correspondence relation among event scenes, classified image data and pages of templates is generated as to a template T1 designated by a user by referencing a table wherein event scenes and template pages are made to correspond to each other. A list of image data classified into scenes corresponding to pages of the designated template is displayed on the editing screen 30 by referencing the correspondence relation information.
