<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polypeptide composition which is immunologically cross-reactive with many hepatitis C virus (HCV) isolates, especially relating to the heterogeneous domain of this virus, and is useful for diagnosis and vaccine. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is the immunoreactive polypeptide composition containing at least two amino acid sequences of HCV, wherein each amino acid sequence contains at least one epitope within a variable domain of HCV envelop polypeptide, wherein the amino acid sequences of the variable domain are heterogeneous each other, derived from a separate HCV isolate, and each amino acid sequence is not longer than the whole envelope protein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
