AVOIDING NAME COLLISION FOR ACPI CONTROL METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the name collision of a control method used under an ACPI specification for defining a main run time interface between most operating system (OS) software and the system firmware/hardware of a modern computer.

SOLUTION: A first argument is associated with a reserved name and the first argument which forms a unique identifier of a specific control method is associated with the reserved name so that the name collision is avoided by acquiring the reserved name of an ACPI control method, acquiring the unique first argument and preventing the use of the same identifier for different specific control methods.
