Conventionally, in a display device using laser, visibility is lowered when using a blue light source of short wavelength or a red light source of long wavelength and accordingly, a blue light source of comparatively long wavelength and a red light source of comparatively short wavelength have been used. For this, there are various problems such that a color range which can be displayed is limited and a large light output is required when displaying a white color. There is provided a two-dimensional image display device capable of obtaining a bright and clear image with a lower power consumption by setting the center wavelength of the red light source to a range not smaller than 635 nm and not greater than 655 nm and the center wavelength of the blue light source to a range not smaller than 420 nm and not greater than 455 nm.
