<p>A DLC coating, having low-SP3/SP2-ratio areas at a tip end portion 5-30 mm from the tip end of the medical guide wire and at an intermediate portion 100-3000 mm from the tip end and located within 0.1 mum of the interface between the DLC coating and a core material and also having an SP3/SP2 ratio of 0.01 through 10, is provided, thereby obtaining a medical guide wire being high in lubricity with sliding characteristics enhanced 30%, capable of smoothly traveling through a catheter and a blood vessel, properly firm, and easy to operate.</p> |
