<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for performing positional adjustment of constituent components of a printing press and especially a method and an apparatus for performing positional adjustment of a constituent component of the printing press, especially adjusting operation in the printing press. <P>SOLUTION: At least one guide value for positional adjustment is automatically generated from a previously set data in positional variation to be performed, and a data concerning at least one of a tolerable maximum speed, a tolerable maximum acceleration and a tolerable maximum jumping degree.
