<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating apparatus which can switch between a charge eliminating function and a disinfecting (sterilizing) function, and disinfects (sterilizes) dust particles, miscellaneous germs, and others adhering to a vessel or other electrostatic charged object just after eliminating electrostatic charges from the charged object to weaken the adhesion, and furthermore repeats this periodically to solve the problem that dead germs are left behind adhering to the vessel or the like with the dust particles. <P>SOLUTION: The ion generating apparatus comprises plus and minus high voltage generating circuits 3A, 3B for respective plus and minus electrodes, a minus high voltage step-up circuit 5 for switching the minus high voltage circuit 3B so as to make its output voltage higher than the voltage of the plus high voltage generating circuit 3A, a timer 6 for operating the minus high voltage step-up circuit 5 periodically, and a switch for minus dominant mode 13 for switching the operation/stop of the minus high voltage step-up circuit and the timer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
