FLOC-FORMING AGENT, BULKING PREVENTION METHOD AND ACTIVATED SLUDGE TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floc-forming agent capable of accelerating floc formation without lowering the microbial activity, and to provide a bulking prevention method and an activated sludge treatment method using the floc-forming agent.

SOLUTION: The floc-forming agent comprises a poly-γ-glutamic acid crosslinked resin having a network structure and a cationic compound which bonds to carboxyl group (-COOH) of the crosslinked resin. The floc-forming agent accelerates the formation of microbial floc and aggregates micro-organisms. Further, the floc-forming agent prevents the bulking in activated sludge method. Accordingly, the floc-forming agent can be applied to water treatment equipment using the activated sludge method.
