PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-type grinding tool easy to use held with either hand by reversing the right and left positions of an endless belt to the tool between the case of holding the tool with the right hand and the case of holding the tool with the left hand. SOLUTION: This tool has a tool body 16 provided with the endless belt and an air motor 12 for driving the endless belt, and a valve body 40 mounted to the rear end of the tool body 16. The tool body 16 can take a first position to the valve body, and a second position turned by 180°from the first position. The position of the tool body shifts to the right side and left side with respect to the valve body in the first position and second position.
