MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MOLD ROLL USED FOR MANUFACTURING MICROLENS PLASTIC SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a mold roll used for manufacturing a microlens sheet capable of diffusing light in all directions. SOLUTION: A mother roll 2' is formed by winding a metal sheet of which the surface is demarcated into respective regularly arranged almost polygonal regions same in shape so that the positive shape of a microlens having each of protruded parts as a lens unit is provided to each of the dimarcated regions and the width in the direction of a rotary shaft is 1/N (wherein N is an integer of 2 or above) of the direction of the rotary shaft of the mold roll. Rotation is transmitted to the mold roll 2 while pressing the mother roll 2' to the surface of the mold roll 2 to form the negative shapes of the microlenses to the surface of the mold roll and this forming process is repeated N times or the constituent units of respective recessed parts are successively formed on the surface of the mold roll 2.
