PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of reliably identifying whether or not the operation of an operation switch is performed by a driver, and improving the convenience of the operation by other person than the driver. SOLUTION: Weak current is applied from a sensor power supply unit 2 to a conductive covering material 6 to cover a steering wheel 5, and when a driver touches an operation switch 4 while holding the steering wheel 5, the electric potential of the operation switch 4 is increased through the driver. If a driver input determination unit 12 determines that the operation is performed by the driver based on the differential voltage when a vehicle is traveling, an input signal control unit 14 does not receive the input from the operation switch 4. The operation input is received by a navigation control unit 15 only when the vehicle is stopped, or driven by the operation of other person than the driver, and various kinds of navigational operations such as setting the destination, registration of the point, and retrieval of a peripheral facility can be performed.
