PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for introducing a nucleic acid, having specificity to a target cell and excellent in expression of the nucleic acid, for example, expression of a gene, and to obtain a composition for introducing the nucleic acid. SOLUTION: This carrier for introducing the nucleic acid contains a cationic polymer material and hyaluronic acid or its salt and/or its negatively charged derivative in such a state that the components are not covalently bonded to each other. The composition contains the nucleic acid, the cationic polymer material, and the hyaluronic acid or its salt and/or its negatively charged derivative in such a state that the components are not covalently bonded to one another.
