PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that when presentation, etc. are performed using a projector, brightness of the whole screen becomes dark, and visibility of the display image falls as the result, because if it is going to duplicate color faithfully, a correction curve is made after subtracting color components of the surrounding environment, image output is made by the curve. SOLUTION: The image display method and the image display device decrease a white component of the RGB input image signal including the white component at a predetermined ratio (52), and increase complementary color components and primary color components of the RGB input image signal at a predetermined ratio (53).
