PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory system which is provided with both supervisory cameras capable of photographing even at night and supervisory cameras incapable of photographing at night, and attains power saving at night, and enhances the supervisory efficiency of automatic patrol supervision with a monitor television receiver. SOLUTION: Either "presence" and "absence" of automatic patrol supervision and any of "night mode", "ordinary mode", and "standby mode" as an operating mode at night are selected for each of the supervisory cameras connected to the system, and the memory 144 of a controller 14 stores in advance the selection data. The main power supply of the internal circuit of each of the supervisory cameras to which the "standby mode" is set at night is shut off by using a control signal transmitted from a mode control circuit 142, and the video signals of them are controlled to be excluded from the sequence of the automatic patrol supervision.
