PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance monitoring unit capable of imaging and displaying outside an entrance door in a wide range, with good quality having a small distortion. SOLUTION: The entrance monitoring unit 10 includes a plurality of imaging sections 22-1 to 22-5, a camera head section 20 capable of imaging outside an entrance door 12 by means of each imaging section 22-1 to 22-5, and a monitoring unit main body 30 being connected to the camera head section 20. A plurality of images captured by the camera head section 20 are displayed on a display section 31, either independently or simultaneously. With this, each imaging section 22-1 to 22-5 constituting the camera head section 20 can image outside the entrance door 12 in a wide range even without an ultra wide-angle imaging lens. Because of no need of using the ultra wide-angle imaging lens, an image of good quality having no distortion in the periphery can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
