PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter which is prevented from being wrenched open by a crowbar or the like inserted into a gap formed at a lower end of a shutter curtain in a closed state, to thereby improve the crime prevention performance thereof. SOLUTION: The shutter is formed of a shutter body 4 arranged at an upper portion of an opening 2 of a building, for taking up/down the shutter curtain 3, and guide rails 5 arranged on both sides of the opening 2 for vertically movably guiding both ends of the shutter curtain 3. The shutter curtain 3 has a lower end member 12 at the lower end thereof, and a floor surface 13 opposed to the lower end member 12 has a groove 14 formed therein, into which the lower end member 12 is inserted when the shutter is closed. Further, the groove 14 has a groove opening/closing mechanism 17 arranged therein, for allowing the lower end member 12 to be inserted therein when the shutter is closed, and blocking the groove 14 so as to be almost flush with the floor surface 13 when the shutter is opened.
