PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor post which facilitates adjustment of its height while assuming a set position. SOLUTION: A base stand 12 and a bearing stand 16 are connected together by a first lower arm 13A, a first link member 14A, a first upper arm 15A, a second lower arm 13B, a second link member 14B and a second upper arm 15B. Then a threaded shaft 17 is inserted into the first and second link members 14A, 14B. The threaded shaft 17 is screwed into the first link member 14A. The threaded shaft 17 is rotatable with respect to the second link member 14B but inhibited from axially moving with respect to the same. Thus by rotating the threaded shaft 17 forward and backward, the first link member 14A is brought closer to the second link member 14B or separated from the same, and in this manner the distance between the base stand 12 and the bearing stand 16, i.e. the height of the floor post 11, can be adjusted.
