PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an emulsion-type hair cosmetic prepared by mixing a high-polymeric silicone and a volatile oil thereinto, having excellent feelings when used (smoothness when used, moistness when used, lightness when finished, smoothness when finished, and release from stickiness) and having excellent stability with the elapse of time. SOLUTION: This emulsion-type hair cosmetic contains components (a) to (c) as follows: (a) a (sodium acrylate/acryloyldimethylurethane) copolymer in an amount of 0.01-2 wt%; (b) the volatile oil in an amount of 0.1-30 wt%; and (c) the high polymeric silicone in an amount of 0.1-10 wt%.
