<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which shock jitters (horizontal band-like density irregularity) occurring especially at the rush of transfer paper to a fixing part can be reduced, the void of superposed characters in a color mode can be prevented, and consequently images of high picture quality can be formed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having speed differences among photoreceptor drums 11BK, 11Y, 11C, 11M, and a transfer belt 60 and having a plurality of paper feeding modes has a paper feeding mode set to (surface speed of photoreceptor drum)>(surface speed of transfer belt) and a paper feeding mode set to (surface speed of photoreceptor drum)<(surface speed of transfer belt). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
