IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge capable of reliably removing a polymerized toner and a small particle diameter toner by cleaning and capable of preventing occurrence of a residual image due to residual potential by canceling the electrical history of a photoreceptor drum.

SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus comprising a transfer unit and the process cartridge as a detachable photoreceptor unit, a nip part between an intermediate transfer belt 10 of the transfer unit 6 and the process cartridge 30 is loaded with a charge elimination lamp 32 for eliminating charges from the photoreceptor drum 1K before cleaning.
