<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image data correcting method, a color image data correcting apparatus, and a color correction table generating program carrying out calibration with accuracy of a prescribed degree or over at reduced time and effort. <P>SOLUTION: A printer prints out a color patch on which prescribed patches are arranged at positions in earlier colorimetric orders corresponding to a minimum colorimetric points required for color correction with prescribed accuracy or over on the basis of patch image data to print patches by changing gradation values by each ink color used by the printer, color values required for generating the color correction table are acquired by applying colorimetry to at least prescribed patches corresponding to the minimum colorimetric points among the color patches, the acquired color values are compared with standard values being color values of a result of a standard printout, and the color correction table for correcting the color image data is generated so that the printer can obtain the print result equivalent to the result of the standard printout corresponding to the color image data of optional gradation values on the basis of the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
