<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical display having excellent coloring properties even if driving voltage is low and to provide an electronic equipment using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical display provided with a first polarizer 12 for polarizing light from light sources 42, a solid electrooptical element 24 for double refracting polarized light after the light passes through the first polarizer, and a second polarizer 36 for taking out only prescribed linearly polarized light of the polarized light passing through the electrooptical element is provided with a fluorescent layer 18 at at least one of an incident surface of the first polarizer, the part between the first polarizer and the solid electrooptical element, the part between the solid electrooptical element and the second polarizer and a light emitting surface of the second polarizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
