PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive vibration control cutting tool with a holder having very high restraining effect of chattering vibration, capable of coping with a wide machining diameter or cutting condition with simple structure. SOLUTION: A pocket 4 is provided at a shank part 2 of the holder 1, and a vibration control piece 5 is inserted in the pocket 4 so as to be relatively movable to the holder 1 and so as not to project into the holder 1. The vibration control piece 5 receives kinetic energy from the holder 1 at the time of cutting, and alternately collides with inner walls 4a, 4b opposite to the pocket 4.
