PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new mechanism for making determination in a technology for determining whether a factor of an object is abnormal or not by using a transmitter and a receiver. SOLUTION: For determining whether an abnormal condition such as separation in a tread part 20 of a tire 14 occurs in a vehicle or not, this malfunction determination device has the transmitter 30 embedded in a part 20 of the tread part, the receiver 50 for receiving a transmission signal from the transmitter, and a determination apparatus 52 for determining occurrence of separation in the tread part when defective receipt, in which the receiver cannot receive the transmission signal from the transmitter, occurs.
