PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit a predetermined oil locking function and also prevent a sealing function in an oil seal from being impaired by oil pressure at that time. SOLUTION: In this front fork, at the time of most contraction operation in which a car body side tube 2 is most sunk in a wheel side tube 1 at high speed, an impact at the time of most contraction operation is softened by a cushioning effect caused in a cushion chamber R partitioned between the lower end of the car body side tube 2 and the inner bottom 1b of the wheel side tube 1.
