PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit hunting of torque shift, and to accurately compensate the torque shift. SOLUTION: This gear change controller comprises a trunnion for rotatably supporting a power roller for transmitting driving force between an input disc and an output disc, an actuator for driving a gear change control valve for supplying oil pressure to a hydraulic actuator for driving the trunnion, a means for operating the driving quantity of the actuator to make an actual change gear ratio be agreed with a target change gear ratio, a means for detecting input torque, a torque shift compensating part 53e for operating the torque shift compensation quantity on the basis of the input torque, and a change gear ratio command value converting part 54 for operating and controlling a command value to the actuator on the basis of the driving quantity of the actuator and the torque shift compensation quantity, and the torque shift compensating part 53e reduces and corrects the torque shift compensation quantity in accordance with the variation of the input torque.
