PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for foaming a biodegradable polylactide. SOLUTION: A polylactide, an aliphatic-aromatic copolyester, a nucleating agent, a lubricant and a slip agent are mixed in an appropriate ratio. The mixture is charged in a conventional extruder, then a suitable amount of a foaming agent is added to the mixture under an appropriate temperature and pressure, and a foamed product is obtained at an exit of the extruder.
